On Wednesday night we headed to a relatively new addition to Cagliari's food scene, Ethnica - which serves east African dishes. No one on the jury had eaten this type of food before - so they were in for some surprises. But everyone was pumped and excited to give it a try - here they are:
We started the meal with falafels - and a SUPER SPICEY green sauce
And here is the main - a beautiful plate of rice, vegetables, lentils, potatoes and meat! We shared two big and two small of these between all 10 of us.
Dig in with your hands or a fork - either work!

and some interviews!
And then we got a surprise.... POPCORN!!!
not only that, but POPCORN IN THE AIR!!!!!!
This wonderful lady from the kitchen brought out popcorn for the kids and they threw it in the air all over the restaurant - a traditional welcome. Here she is with Pino..
who shoved as much popcorn as possible in his mouth!
He wasn't the only one....
We had SUCH a good time at Ethnica - it was a treat. Thanks for having us, it was a great great night!
