Lomi Lomi 2014

July 18 - 23 Lotus Heart Centre, Brighton ON

The ladies of the retreat this year (like last year) were so grateful for the healing food made at the centre, that I decided once again to share the menu, the recipes, and the photos.

Here is the menu:

Friday July 18 - Supper
Tossed salad with lime dressing
Glazed lentil loaf with roasted sweet potatoes

Saturday July 19 - Lunch
Sesame cucumber and red pepper salad over bed of greens

Cardamom pea soup

Saturday July 19 - Supper
Tossed salad with maple balsamic dressing
Spaghetti squash with chunky marinara sauce

Sunday July 20 - Lunch
Tossed salad
African peanut soup made with almond butter instead


Sunday July 20 - Supper
Orange fennel salad with citrus tahini dressing

Cider roasted vegetables with quinoa and hummus

Dessert - Avocado chocolate pudding with berries or bananas




Monday July 21 - Lunch
Red quinoa salad over bed of greens

Broccoli soup

Monday July 21 - Supper
Broccoli and cauliflower salad over greens with Sunflower seed dressing

Sweet potato black bean burgers over a bed of greens and cooked millet
Dessert - Apple crisp


Tuesday July 22 - Lunch
Beet salad

Soothing red lentil soup

Tuesday July 22 - Supper
Kale salad with avocado cream dressing
Mushroom and lentil shepherd's pie




Dessert - Fruit parfaits with cashew creme

Curried almond kale salad

Zucchini cilantro soup with brown rice
